If you live in the Northeast, you may want to take a look at the Amtrak Auto Train. The Train departs from Lorton, Virginia (in the Washington DC area) and arrives in Sanford, Florida (near Orlando). Meals along the way are included and you can even get a sleeping room for a little bit extra.

How long does it take?
Amtrak says that rail time is about 18 hours each way. An additional hour to load and unload the cars may be necessary.
